Privacy policy

The controller of personal data collected on this website is Be My Date (hereinafter “we”), with website bemydate.es.

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Job applications (“Work with us”): name, email, phone, date of birth, interest categories, photos and a link to an introduction video.
• Contact form (when available): name, email, subject and message.
• Bookings (when the service is open to the public): data needed to manage the date and payment (name, email, date/time, notes and payment data handled by the payment provider).
• Aggregated technical browsing data via analytics (see below).

• Assess applications and contact you about opportunities at Be My Date.
• Reply to contact messages.
• Manage bookings and related service communications.
• Measure site use in aggregate to improve it.

• Consent or pre-contractual steps when you send an application or form.
• Performance of a contract or preparatory steps when you book an experience.
• Legitimate interest for aggregated site statistics that do not identify individuals.

Form and booking data are stored in our database (PocketBase) on a server in the European Union (Hetzner).

We keep information for as long as needed for the relevant purpose (for example while we review your application or for the duration of the booking relationship) and any applicable legal periods. Afterwards we delete or anonymise it.

We use Plausible Analytics to understand site traffic (page views, referrers). Plausible does not use tracking cookies, does not create persistent visitor IDs and presents data in aggregate.

We do not sell your data. We may use providers that process data on our behalf (EU hosting, Plausible analytics, and the payment provider for bookings). These providers only process what is needed to deliver their service.

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection to processing, and portability where applicable, by writing to marcelo.alvarez@bemydate.es. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

We may update this policy. The date of the latest revision appears at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the site after a material change means you have had the chance to review it.
